Sally's Bio
Dr. Sarah M. (Sally) Butzin is the co-founder of the Institute for School Innovation, a non-profit educational organization in Tallahassee, Florida (www.ifsi.org) where she serves as President and Executive Director. She holds a Ph.D. in Elementary Education from Florida State University, a Master of Science in Reading and Elementary Education from Florida State University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from DePauw University. Recent awards and honors include the 2008 Florida State University College of Education Distinguished Educator Award, and being named in 2010 as one of "25 Women You Need to Know" by the Tallahassee Democrat newspaper. She was the featured "education innovator" in the Fall 2010 Delta Kappa Gamma Bulletin. Dr. Butzin has been an educator and child advocate for over four decades.
