Rich's Bio
Rich Stagliano, M.D. is the president and founder of Live Fit Medicine. He is board certified in Emergency Medicine and a member of the Center for Mind Body Medicine (CMBM) and the Institute for Functional Medicine (IFM). After years of working in the Emergency Department, Dr. Rich felt frustrated and saddened by the realization he was only putting temporary "band-aids" on many of his patients' chronic medical problems. Problems related to poor nutrition and unhealthy lifestyles. So three years ago he decided to leave the Emergency Department and open his own medical practice - Live Fit Medicine.
Philosophy
At Live Fit Medicine, we believe health is much more than merely the absence of disease. It’s about feeling energetic, living without pain or discomfort, performing at your best, and aging gracefully. We practice the principles of Functional Medicine which aim to identify and treat the underlying causes as to why you don't feel or perform your best by viewing you as a biochemically unique individual and carefully examining all the aspects of your life that impact your health. As "health detectives" our goal is to work in partnership with you to identify and treat causes, not symptoms, ultimately leading to optimal health and vitality.
